The general lifespan of a Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) battery strongly depends on its age and usage. Because of this, most older laptops suffer from decreased battery capacity. A new battery pack (type: fpcbp17) for this specific laptop however can be difficult to purchase and expensive if you happen to find one. This article describes a simple, effective way and relatively cheap way of replacing the internal accu cells of this pack, reusing the charge logic and casing.

We always thought about getting a cat. Instead of getting a kitten, Felix is already an aged cat but he is the sweetest cat in the world. The last weeks (in September 2006) he's been struggling with struvite, but he has restored quite well. When he's not sleeping on our bed, he likes to play around or sleep more on your lap. Who can resist that?

It is already quite along time ago, but it was a fantastic experiencing. We (Oliver Stolz and I) visited a good friend in the Philippines, and spent a wonderful time drinking coconut milk, traveling on the dangerous jeepneys and visiting the whitest beaches. Currently, quite some effort is going on by the synce team to make it possible to sync your windows mobile 5 (wm5) device (HTC wizard, Axim 51v, etc) to your Linux machine using synce. The synce project tries to implement the activesync protocol by reverse engineering. Although it is not yet possible to sync contact and mail, it is already possible to transfer files to and from your pda using vdccm and the kio-slave. Somewhere at the end of February, 2006, My favorite niece (I only have one) came to spend some days at us. As she's still young, one the best places to go to is the goat farm 'Het Geertje' in Zoeterwoude. Apparently, there were many young goats, with some of just a few hours old. Purpurr was the first pet to join our family. He's our alpha-bunny and lived first happily together with Murwy, but now that Murwy's gone, he has to get friends with Snoet. Look at purps pictures to see how cute here really is!

Snoet is our third rabbit, and is now living happily together with Purpurr. He is definately a super healthy rabbit, and hardly suffers from anything. He likes playing around in his domain, but being outside is also great fun!. On the other hand, lying down and doing nothing is part of his daily routine as well. It was a clowded and a litle bit rainy afternoon somewhere at the beginning of September 2006. Wendy's colleague was on a holiday, so she had the opportunity to go horse riding on Wiebe. The weather could be better, and probably Wiebe would have enjoyed going to the beach, but it was a nice afternoon after all.

A leaking damper was the reason to replace the complete struts on the back of the Carina-E. Replacing only the damper would lead to more costs (90 Euro per piece, plus extra small parts) en more effort (pressurizing when dismantling the strut, etc,etc). Although a local garage offered to do it for only 240 Euro's, a special offer, I decided to take up the job myself.

If anyone wonders what is the image with rainbow on the website, It comes from one of the city archives and displays the Noord-AA recreation area in the northern part of Zoetermeer, the Netherlands. The area is very popular for doing all kinds of watersports as well as walking or cycling around. I enjoy it quite a bit to go there and can recommend anyone to at least see it once. Do not forget to drop by goatarm 'Het Geertje'! :)
